THE ROLE:
AMD-Xilinx is seeking a capable and motivated design verification engineer to help build the next-gen programmable SOCs. This role will require deep understanding of complex digital designs, debugging, developing verification flows, and defining tests using various HDL languages.
THE PERSON:
Successful candidate will have an design verification background/education, would have participated in complex design projects to solve verification challenges using latest tools and methodologies and a strong desire to learn and take up new challenges.
KEY RESPONISIBILITES:
- Work closely with designers in developing and understanding complex digital designs
- Take ownership of block level verification tasks
- Define test plans, test benches, and tests using System Verilog and UVM
- Debug RTL and Gate simulations and work with HW and SW development teams to verify fixes
- Develop and improve existing verification flows and regression environments
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES:
- Proficiency in verilog/system verilog and UVM verification flow
- Understanding of computer architecture and embedded SW
- Good working knowledge of C/C++ and Assembly programming
- Proficiency in UNIX and scripting languages (Python preferred)
- Strong understanding of state of the art verification methodologies, including assertion and metric-driven verification
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related equivalent.
