The Role
We are seeking talented and motivated digital design engineering co-op student to join AMDs PCI Express (PCIe) IP design team.
What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities include are but not limited to:
- Develop micro-architecture specifications for the Logic component working closely with architects.
- Implement specifications/design in RTL in Verilog and System Verilog.
- Work with the verification team to achieve a high-quality design.
- Running and debugging RTL quality tools such as Spyglass CDC, Spyglass Lint, etc.
What you’ll learn You may gain the following experience
- High-speed digital design and verification
- Best practices for design and verification.
- Visibility to hardware project cycle
- Increase technical abilities in hardware design.
- Industry-exclusive design experience
Key Qualifications
- Junior or senior EE
- Experience with Verilog or VHDL
- Courses in digital design, circuit design
- Exposure to modern SOC tools including Spyglass CDC, Spyglass Lint, Cadence conformal, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in working with Linux environment.
- Experience with Scripting languages e.g., Perl, shell*, and Python is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
Please have knowledge of one or more of the following technical skills:
- Languages: C, Python/Perl/Shell, Verilog and System Verilog,
- Experience with Linux/UNIX
- Best practices of hardware development
