Hardware Engineering Intern

LOCATION: Belfast
ONSITE: This role requires the student to work from the Belfast office throughout the duration of the Intern term.
PROGRAM TERM:
12 month placement with the option of extending for a further 3 months
Start date July 1st 2024
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
AMD Belfast is growing and we have multiple intern positions .
You will be involved in the development of leading-edge FPGA-based hardware and embedded software platforms for use in data center acceleration applications.
You will be working with the latest FPGA hardware and software technologies from AMD-Xilinx, including Vivado Design Suite, Versal ACAP devices and Alveo data center boards using the Vitis unified software platform and will the benefit of professional guidance from an experienced engineering team, alongside the ability to grow both personally and professionally.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exposure to RTL (Register Transfer Level) Development VHDL or Verilog
- Exposure to digital circuit design and testing using simulation tools
- Exposure to AMD-Xilinx FPGA and system design tools
- Exposure to scripting languages: Python, Tcl, Perl, Unix preferred

- Studying towards Masters or Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related subject
