SILICON SOFTWARE SYSTEM DESIGN ENGINEER
THE ROLE:
As a member of the Virtual BringUp (VBU) Group, you will help bring to life cutting-edge designs. As a member of central methodology team, you will work closely with the architecture, IP/SoC design verification, firmware, post-silicon bringup and validation teams to achieve first pass silicon success and continues production success.
THE PERSON:
A successful candidate will work across different teams at AMD to understand complex requirement of IP and SoC testing pre- and post-silicon. The candidate will be highly accurate and detail-oriented, possessing good communication and problem-solving skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Architect and implement test stimulus for IP and SoC using cutting edge PSS (Portable Test and Stimulus Standard) language.
- Define and deploy PSS best practices across AMD.
- Participate in PSS language development.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Understanding of constrained random verification methodologies using PSS, UVM, SystemVerilog, SystemC and C++.
- x86 processor, standard IOs like USB, PCIe, multimedia IPs.
- Experience with firmware and baremetal testing.
- Experience with VCS simulation tool, Perl/Shell scripting, and Verilog RTL design and verification.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
