Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring Product Development Engineer 2 to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electrical and electronic theory. Interact with System Power Management engineers to maximize processor performance. Develop tools to predict System power behavior (aka speedbinner). Develop tools to validate fuse recipe accuracy. Develop machine learning tools to maximize die supply (aka SBO). Train and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications: Degree required
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: One (1) year of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
Position requires one (1) year of experience in the following:
- Logic and circuit design;
- SOC or system architecture;
- RTL Design or coding;
- Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL;
- ASIC design; and
- C, C++, or Python.
Skills may be gained concurrently.
