We are hiring for multiple co-op/intern positions that vary between on-site and hybrid. Students will be required to work in the office on a schedule based on the team’s requirements.
Program Term
8-month position from January 8, 2024, to August 30, 2024
The Role
AMD is looking for motivated individuals seeking opportunities to solve complex problems in a fast-paced work environment. The successful candidate will be involved in the development of AMD's next generation products. This includes pre-silicon verification of PCI Express/CXL design using latest UVM standard with comprehensive test plans to ensure coverage closure.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing Testbenches and Verification Components such as UVCs, models, BFMs, and Re-usable Verification Environments using System Verilog UVM
- Writing, Modifying, and Maintaining Random and Directed Test Cases and Libraries
- Analyzing Functional, Code, and Test Plan Coverage
- Implementing Assertions, Checkers, and Monitors
- Utilizing In-House and 3rd Party IP/SOC CAD and EDA Tools for Design and Verification
- Deploying Industry-Leading Verification Methodologies such as UVM and Formal Verification
- Triaging and Debugging Regressions
- Reproducing Functional Bugs found in Silicon in Simulation and/or Formal Verification tools
- Conducting and participating in Code Reviews

Key Qualifications
- Post-secondary student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Returning to school following the co-op term
- Written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an emphasis on product development
Preferred Qualifications
Please have knowledge on one or more of the following skills :
- Digital Design in RTL, Verilog HDL
- Testbench Architecture, System Verilog, OVM/UVM/VMM
- C/C++, Java, or other object-oriented programming language
- Perl, Ruby, Shell-scripting, UNIX/LINUX Environment
- VCS, NCSIM, Questa, or other simulator and associated waveform viewers such as Verdi
