SMTS DESIGN VERIFICATION ENGINEER
THE ROLE:
The focus of this role is to plan, build, and execute the verification of new and existing features for AMD’s graphics processor IP, resulting in no bugs in the final design.
THE PERSON:
You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand the architecture of the graphics IP and functional block being designed.
- Influence and drive the verification environment architecture with a team of engineers.
- Participate in the verification of a complex IP blocks, take ownership key features
- Develop reference models for the functionality, performance, and power behavior of the design
- Write tests and debug functional, performance, and power related issues
- Guide and mentor junior engineers
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience building UVM and constrained-random simulation environments.
- Strong knowledge of System Verilog, Verilog, C/C++, and scripting languages.
- Experience with 3D pipeline and industry graphics standards (DX/OGL/OCL) is a plus.
- Experience using industry standard tools and adaptability to utilize home grown tools.
- Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.
EDUCATION:
- Master's Degree with at least 5 years or Bachelor's Degree with at least 7 years working experience in digital design verification
