THE ROLE:
The focus of this role is to analyze, architect, specify and collaborate to develop SoC architecture solutions for AMD's Adaptive SoC products.
THE PERSON:
You have a passion for complex heterogeneous architecture, embedded systems, digital design, firmware and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills for collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with architects, and hardware & software engineers to understand new features and develop solutions for them
- Define and develop models and tools for archietcture analysis & tradeoffs
- Write architecture specifications in clear and concise language
- Review performance & functional coverage metrics for solutions
- Cross-functional role requiring interaction with development & verification teams
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of SoC, Embedded Systems, and Software/Firmware
- Knowledge of Python/SystemC/C++ programming language
- Familiarity with SoC, AI/ML accelerators, and FPGA
- Familiarities of Verilog and/or System Verilog
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS or MS or PhD degree in Computer, Electrical or Equivalent Engineering
- Relevant work/research experience preferred
LOCATION: San Jose, CA
COMPENSATION:
Expected to range from $87,150 to $161,850 commensurate with experience and specific skill sets
