Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Silicon Design Engineer to
Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and
related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Perform definition, design, verification, and/or system validation. Determine architecture design, logic design, and/or system simulation. Create microarchitecture, write RTL, write optimal timing constraints. Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use. Work in an area of specialization to develop NoC IP, working on complex problems of moderate scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and
electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various Xilinx, Inc. products.

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or closely related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: 12 months of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
Position requires one (1) year of experience with the following technologies and/or skills:
- Verilog/VHDL;
- Logic and circuit design;
- CMOS transistor design;
- SOC/system architecture;
- RTL design/coding;
- Hardware verification;
- Submicron ASIC design flow;
- ASIC design tools (synthesis, simulation,
- equivalence checking, static timing analysis);
- Back-end or front-end EDA tools;
- TCL/Perl/Python; and
- BIST and DFT testing.
