Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. Duties include: maintain and enhance AMD’s existing verification infrastructure; contribute to the development of new test plans, functional coverage points, and test bench components; debug RTL at the IP or chip-level; perform verification functional coverage using industry standard coverage analysis tools and methods; replicate functional issues found post-silicon; review and enhance tests to verify bug fixes; and leverage technical expertise to develop the functional verification strategy of AMD’s next generation technology; take ownership of definable portions of technical projects related to enhancing existing AMD technology and new product initiatives; and communicate the status of technical projects to senior members of the team and key internal stakeholders.

Qualifications: Degree required
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: 24 months in job offered or closely related engineering role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
Must have two years of work experience in the following:
- Hardware verification
- Logic and circuit design
- CAD tools
- RTL Design/coding
- Verilog/VHDL or System Verilog
