LOCATION: Santa Clara, CA
ONSITE: This role requires the student to work from the Santa Clara office throughout the duration of the Co-op/Intern term. First time Co-ops/Interns should work full-time and onsite.
PROGRAM TERM:
- Summer & Fall 2024: May 20 - December 13, 2024
THE ROLE:
The Shader (SIMD Processor) design and verification team is looking for a candidate who will assume ownership of complex designs and verification that will be used in next generation graphics and compute products. The candidate will be responsible for designing and verifying complex features from microarchitecture specifications of the digital block.
THE PERSON:
You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Architects and micro-architecture of unit designs and write design specifications
- Implement complex features in Verilog and factor in all the tradeoffs that are necessary for the design
- Verify sophisticated design blocks in complex SV/UVM and C++ verification environments
- Develop and execute pre-silicon verification test plans
- Develop directed and random verification tests to validate block and IP functionality
- Debug regression fails
WHAT WOULD SET YOU APART:
- Strong understanding of computer architecture
- Experience with logic design
- Experience with C++, Verilog, Perl
- Experience using industry standard tools (VCS, Verdi) and adapt to proprietary tools
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a cross-site team environment
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
