Senior FPGA Designer for Hardware Emulation (f/m/div)
Do you want to be part of the team enabling the evolution of secure systems for a connected world? As a Senior FPGA Designer for Hardware Emulation, you will be responsible for bringing our chip designs to life on an FPGA-based emulator as part of the agile tool team in Munich. The emulator is a core part of our Software Development Kits (SDKs), enabling our internal and external customers to develop and debug software for our secure micro-controllers. In your new role, you will:
- Design, implement, test, and release FPGA designs that model our products
- Design enhanced debug features to support debugging of our special security features
- Collaborate with product designers in addressing FPGA design requirements
- Support specification of new designs
- Integrate and verify the emulator components into a complete system
- Analyze errors together with different hardware and software teams
- Take care of 3rd-level support for internal and external customer
- Take responsibility for released designs (bug fixes, change requests)
- Experience a highly versatile work environment interfacing between the Hardware and Software development world
- Bring your knowledge into a multi-skilled SCRUM team with possibilities to grow into new fields of interest (hardware, software, electronics)
As a Senior FPGA Designer for Hardware Emulation, you are personally committed to the customer’s concerns and award them a high priority. Furthermore, you work conscientiously on making things better, faster, and more efficient. Lastly, you cooperate across boundaries and appreciate the contributions of other people.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years of work experience in digital design with proven complex problem-solving skills and measurable impact on working results within the organizational area
- Profound Knowledge in FPGA Development & Hardware description languages (e.g. VHDL, System Verilog). Knowledge of ASIC design is a plus
- Good understanding of microcontroller hardware architectures (e.g. ARMCortex-M architecture)
- Good communication skills and experience working in a (Scrum) team
- Experience with version management tools like GIT and bug tracking tools like Jira
- Optionally, you know the fields of PCB design and are familiar with the development of embedded software (e.g. Keil Vision)
- Fluent in English, and German would be a plus
