Join us and help build a more advanced, more autonomous, more connected, more electric and more sustainable future!</p><p></p><p>This position is for a motivated Electrical or Computer engineering candidate to be involved in the design, implementation, verification, and integration of a wide variety of high-performance digital ASICs and FPGAs applied to signal processing and information assurance products across Mission Systems on the Embedded Platforms & Advanced Packaging Solutions team. The role is based out of our Cedar Rapids, IA site location; may be eligible for relocation.</p><p></p><p><b>Primary Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p><span><span>Requirements capture, ASIC / FPGA digital architecture and design using RTL, timing closure, verification, and system integration </span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Utilize and Recommend new tools and practices for continuous improvement in the group's ASIC / FPGA design flow </span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Contribute to engineering estimates for new program pursuits. </span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Support project design teams by breaking down work, planning activities, and reporting status.</span></span></p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Basic Qualifications: </b></p><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)</span></p></li><li><p>U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract</p></li><li><p><span>Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements</span> </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>RTL coding and simulation in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog </p></li><li><p>Ability to work with minimal supervision, team with engineers of a variety of skills and backgrounds, and matrix into projects with aggressive schedules and frequent milestones </p></li><li><p>Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to document and present one's work and status </p></li><li><p>Experience using ASIC and/or FPGA design tools (e.g. Modelsim, Quartus, Vivado or other FPGA-specific tools) </p></li><li><p>Experience with debugging and root cause investigations on hardware using hardware schematics, integrated FPGA vendor debug tools, and digital lab equipment </p></li><li><p>Digital circuit architecture and resource tradeoffs </p></li><li><p>Some background in signal processing and/or information assurance </p></li><li><p>Familiarity with the signal processing system simulation & analysis tools (e.g. Matlab, Simulink) </p></li><li><p>Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools (e.g. Git, Subversion) </p></li></ul><p></p><p><span>Collins Aerospace, <span>an RTX company</span>, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
