The role is based out of our Cedar Rapids, IA site location; may be eligible for relocation.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Requirements capture, ASIC / FPGA digital architecture and design using RTL, timing closure, verification, and system integration </li><li>Utilize and Recommend new tools and practices for continuous improvement in the group's ASIC / FPGA design flow </li><li>Contribute to engineering estimates for new program pursuits. </li><li>Support project design teams by breaking down work, planning activities, and reporting status.</li></ul>Basic Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)</li><li>U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract</li><li>Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>RTL coding and simulation in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog </li><li>Ability to work with minimal supervision, team with engineers of a variety of skills and backgrounds, and matrix into projects with aggressive schedules and frequent milestones </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to document and present one's work and status </li><li>Experience using ASIC and/or FPGA design tools (e.g. Modelsim, Quartus, Vivado or other FPGA-specific tools) </li><li>Experience with debugging and root cause investigations on hardware using hardware schematics, integrated FPGA vendor debug tools, and digital lab equipment </li><li>Digital circuit architecture and resource tradeoffs </li><li>Some background in signal processing and/or information assurance </li><li>Familiarity with the signal processing system simulation & analysis tools (e.g. Matlab, Simulink) </li><li>Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools (e.g. Git, Subversion) </li></ul>Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
