Are you looking to <b>GO BIG</b> on your FPGA journey?</p><p></p><p>As an <b>FPGA Engineer</b> you will be responsible for the design and verification of FPGA and ASICs <span>for applications in military products and different electronics applications under Avionics solutions. </span>You will also thrive on tackling challenges as the position requires the use of problem-solving skills, an action-oriented mindset to address problems and work closely with other engineers to contribute to project goals and gain hands-on experience.</p><p></p><p>This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.</p><p></p><p><b><span>What YOU will do:</span></b></p><ul><li>You will support the definition of FPGA architecture, requirements, and documentation.</li><li>You will develop FPGA designs for major vendors and device families including Xilinx.</li><li>You will translate system level requirements into FPGA requirements.</li><li>You will design and code in VHDL or Verilog for reliability and maintainability.</li><li>You will implement and integrate FPGA designs at the board level.</li><li>You will testbench development for the verification of RTL blocks using VHDL or System Verilog.</li><li>You will collaborate on the modeling of algorithms, partition and perform code development and simulation.</li><li>You will perform design and verification activities (simulation) to satisfy the objectives of DO-254.</li><li>You will work with revision control concepts and tools (e.g. Git, Subversion)</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>What YOU will learn:</span></b></p><ul><li><span>You will learn about our growing engineering team in Puerto Rico; What we do? How we work? </span></li><li><span>You will learn the technologies of today and tomorrow which we count on to maintain world leadership in the aerospace industry.</span></li><li><span>You will learn the artifacts and aspects of product certification required by federal agencies. </span></li><li><span>You will learn why people enjoy and feel fulfilled by working in our industry.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Education & Experience:</span></b></p><ul><li>Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering (Computer or Electrical) or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 1-2 years prior relevant experience <b>or</b> an Advanced Degree in a related field <b>or</b> in absence of a degree, 4-6 years of relevant experience.</li><li>U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Skills you must have:</b></p><ul><li>Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written).</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Skills we value:</b></p><ul><li>Experience in design and/or verification of FPGAs</li><li>Experience in some programing languages like C, C++, Java or Python</li><li>Experience in using standard lab equipment like Oscilloscopes, Wave generators, and Power Supplies.</li><li>Familiarity with best practice chip-level verification techniques and languages (e.g. constrained random, functional coverage, System Verilog) </li><li><span>Test Bench generation (including drivers, checkers, assertions, etc.)</span></li><li><span>Universal Verification Method (UVM/UVMF) or OVM</span></li><li><span>Experience with QuestaSim & Matlab Simulink</span></li><li><span>Experience with DO-254 development and verification process</span></li><li><span>Experience with PCIe, DDR4, and DisplayPort Verification IP</span></li><li>Familiarity with Clock domain crossing and Linting Tools (QCDC, Qlint, Spyglass)</li><li>Design for Test (DFT) and manufacturability issues</li><li>Experience with Unix/Linux, scripting, C/C++, and/or Perl <br /> </li></ul><p>Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
