The Converged Sensor Department within E-Tech is seeking a Firmware Engineer with experience in development with high speed interfaces, state of the art FPGAs, and embedded processor components. The successful candidate will be part of a team developing next generation multi-function apertures with Radar, Electronic Warfare, and Communications capability. The successful candidate will work with the Hardware Engineering Team to complete Hardware Development, Simulation and Verification for digital signal processing and general processing applications. The successful candidate possesses strong analytical and communication skills to work in a diverse, dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment. Occasional travel (less than 10%) is required.
Basic Qualifications:
1) Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent with typically a minimum of 12 years related industry experience
2) FPGA development experience utilizing VHDL and/or Verilog
3) Applied knowledge of Xilinx FPGA devices and their associated application environments. Considered a technical authority
4) Expertise in FPGA timing constraints and timing closure Digital signal processing as applied to FPGA Devices
5) Experience with standard test equipment such as oscilloscope's and logic analyzers
6) Must be able to obtain & maintain a Top Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
1) Experience developing Firmware designs for Radar Systems, Electronic Warfare Capabilities, or Communication Systems applications
2) Digital Signal Processing knowledge
3) Active Top Secret security clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
