We are seeking a senior FPGA design engineer to work within the eTech FBMC2 organization. This role requires extensive experience in FPGA design, integration, and test. The resulting end products fill key warfighter capability gaps and needs at various classification levels. Regular interaction with various internal and external customers is to be expected. The successful candidate will have a positive can-do attitude, strong analytic and communication skills and work well in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment. Occasional travel is required.

As a senior FPGA design engineer, you will:
• Determine architecture design & logic of system simulation and testbenches of FPGA and ASIC designs
• Create verification test plans to achieve system functional and coverage metrics closure
• Support internal and external technical reviews Involved in all phases of software development
• Collaborate with the system engineering design team to resolve any defects identified
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12+ years with a related Masters
• Experience in the verification of FPGA and/or ASIC devices
• HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or System Verilog
• Experience with hardware / software integration & validation
• Familiarity with FPGA toolsets
• Experience with electronics design & troubleshooting
• Must have at least an active Secret security clearance prior to start, with a willingness & ability to obtain TS/SCI
Desired Skills:
• Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance is preferred
• Experience with troubleshooting and debugging skills with board-level testing and FPGA validation
• Experience in ASIC / FPGA life cycle (architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration & test)
• Familiarity programming Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) or Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLD)
• Comfortable using digital oscilloscopes, power meters, and other test equipment; basic soldering and wiring skills a plus
• Ability and desire to work both independently and as a part of cross-functional team of electrical, mechanical, software and systems engineers
• DevSecOps experience and/or knowlege
• Strong technical leadership skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be able & willing to travel

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
