What You’ll Do
The Advanced Controller Development (ACD) Lab is part of Samsung’s Memory Business Unit, the industry's all-time DRAM and NAND Flash leader both in technology as well as in volume. ACD’s vision is to solve critical bottlenecks in Cloud & Data center, Automotive, and even edge-devices by developing new approaches via memory/storage controllers, high-speed interfaces, and advanced architectures. We are an integral part of Samsung’s paramount R&D innovation engine. We work closely with cross-disciplinary development teams to bring feature innovation to product roadmaps. Come and join the team that is creating the new paradigm shift from a traditional CPU-centric to Memory-centric computation architectures needed to support emerging machine learning applications, data analytics, and edge computing.
Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA or San Diego, CA locations 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time the remainder of your time.

- Good knowledge of SoC/ASIC chip design life cycle, tools/flows, and methodologies.
- Ability to create plans, track progress, and adjust as needed to deliver the final product on schedule.
- Strong communication skills, team player working in a collaborative work environment.
- Manage cross-functional projects covering a range of various technical domains.
- Ability to work independently, take charge, and improve project visibility with minimal mentorship
- Drive complex problems and create milestone schedules that end in decisions and implementation.
- Manage dependencies and handoffs effectively and optimize schedules accordingly.
- Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
- Identify areas of risk and drive solutions with subject matter experts within the organization.
- Report and drive alignments and decisions from leadership across multiple organizations.
- Experience using tools like MS Project, MS Office, JIRA, and Confluence, and the ability to implement process automation in support of this role.
- Business travel will be required
What You Bring
- BS 10+ years or MS 8+ years in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field preferred
- 10+ years of experience in Technical Program Management/Project Management.
- Experience building relationships and driving collaboration from cross-functional teams.
- Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational experience.
- Understanding of engineering details and the impacts of change across multiple disciplines.
- You’re inclusive, adapting your style to the situation and diverse global norms of our people.
- An avid learner, you approach challenges with curiosity and resilience, seeking data to help build understanding.
- You’re collaborative, building relationships, humbly offering support and openly welcoming approaches.
