Summer 2023 CPU Cores Co-op/ Intern
LOCATION:
Santa Clara, CA
WHAT KIND OF ROLE IS THIS:
Onsite: This is an onsite position – the intern/co-op is required to relocate if necessary and work full-time (40 hours) from the location office.
PROGRAM TERM:
Summer: Start Date May 22 or June 5, 2023 - August 11, 2023
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Build the next generation high performance CPU core by doing one or more of the following:
• Implement microprocessor architecture/micro-architecture in RTL
• Functional verification of the design
• RTL/Logic debug and test development
• test environment/infrastructure/tool development
• Design closure including specification, testplan, and coverage reviews
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
• Senior year candidates of BS in either EE, CompE, ECE or CS programs, Candidates of MS in either EE, CompE, ECE or CS programs preferred.
• Familiarity with computer architecture and logic design
• Programming languages including Verilog, System Verilog, C, C++
• Scripting language experience in python, ruby, or perl
• Experience with RTL simulators, waveform viewers, and debuggers

Compensation range from $32.00-$50.00 hourly commensurate with experience.
At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
