Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring an MTS Silicon Design Engineer to

Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. Perform RTL design and verification using Verilog/System Verilog and front-end design/verification tools & flows. Develop architectural and micro-architectural design of AMD CPU core. Analyze performance, timing, and power of design unit. Collaborate with various stakeholders to meet project goals. Perform RTL coding of features, enhancements, and bug fixes. Develop unit and interface specifications. Debug issues and support pre-silicon and post-silicon design verification teams; root cause simulation failures at unit, core and SOC and participate in both emulation and post-silicon debug and provide RTL design fixes for the bugs. Participate in code reviews and drive methodology development to improve quality and efficiency. Implement engineering change order of critical bug fixes to fit project timelines. Assess and establish design flows and methodologies related to performance analysis of semiconductors and/or the software used to run semiconductors.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required:  36 months of experience in job offered or in closely related engineering role.

Alternate combination of education and experience:  Employer will accept a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 60 months of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or closely related engineering role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Must have two (2) years of experience in the following:
