Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring a PMTS Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductors and related devices, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Lead definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for Out-Of-Band management systems. Determine architecture design, logic design, and/or system simulation. Define module interfaces/formats for simulation. Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving the interoperability of multiple telemetry and management systems and protocols. Evaluate and make technical decisions regarding all aspects of the process flow from scoping, architecture, documentation, and cross-divisional alignment. Serve as technical leader across project or departmental boundaries to develop Out-Of-Band Management solutions, working on issues that impact design or selling success or address future concepts, products or technologies. Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance. Exercise wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments. Utilize expertise with system management architecture, SW,  FW, computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, design techniques, tools, and principles to develop resolution to critical issues and broad design matters. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: 5 years in job offered or closely related engineering role.

Alternate combination of education and experience: bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering, and seven (7) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
