CPU Memory Subsystem Verification Engineer
Job Description:
Engineers will have opportunity to learn and contribute to the development of the cache and memory subsystem units of the Cortex-A Big CPU. They will work on unit level verification of Load-Store, L2 Cache and MMU . They will have the opportunity to collaborate with Architecture, RTL design and Verification engineers on the team, develop testplans, build SystemVerilog / UVM testbenches, checkers and coverage. As part of the testbench development they will learn about ARM memory subsystem architecture, micro-architecture and debugging. They will also have opportunities to learn design verification management tools like git, gerrit etc and automation using Python/Perl etc.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently, with help from your technical mentor(s), to complete the project assigned
- Learn independently using the resources, technical materials, and team support provided to you
- Understand Arm and its Core Beliefs
Required Skills and Experience :
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in pre-silicon verification
- Excellent programming skills including experience with at least one of: C++, SystemVerilog, SystemC, TLM, C#, Java or Python.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to operate in a dynamic and distributed team.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- CPU microarchitecture proven experience including knowledge of pipeline, fetch, issue, Load/Store, L2 cache and MMU.
- A deep understanding of SystemVerilog and UVM, and how they are used to build flexible and reusable testbenches.
