Your Responsibilities

 

As a Product Verification & Validation Engineer for JD Waterloo Product Engineering Center located in Waterloo, IA, you will:

 

  • Coordinate with supply management, module design teams, factories, and suppliers to validate and verify new products for major programs, scaled implementation to new applications or changes driven by current production needs (resourcing, addressing field failures or supplier change requests)
  • Development and execution of subassembly and full aftertreatment canning durability verification testing conducted by Deere with hot gas generators and load inducing actuators or shaker tables.  Specific activities include the development of the test plans, ensuring test execution to established plans, documentation of results and updating the appropriate program database to show status and any requirement gaps
  • Monitor and support full vehicle or application field test, document test results, drive test execution, update status and planning reports and work to improve efficiency of test procedures and execution

What Skills You Need

 

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with teams composed of diverse individuals
  • Experience in product design, development, or related functional area
  • Engineering experience in mechanical components applicable to engines
  • Experience applying engineering principles, theory and practice
  • Experience using computer aided design and/or engineering tools
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) 
  • Experience with component, subsystem and/or full application testing

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • 1 or more years of experience with diesel engine design and performance
  • Experience in component level lab testing and full system testing in dyno cells
  • Design for Six Sigma or Six Sigma Experience
  • Experience with Systems Engineering methodology 

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Electrical Engineering
