The SLT organization is responsible for stressing and validating Qualcomm's leading-edge SoCs at the system level, identifying quality gaps that traditional manufacturing tests may not detect, and developing scalable production screening solutions for high-volume manufacturing.

 

Responsibilities for this position include working with engineering teams for early-stage silicon bring-up and post-silicon validation efforts, testing and characterization of hardware with system software, verification of device performance at various operating conditions (voltage, process, temperature).  Engineer will also partner with development teams to create automated test content solutions that stress the SoC (functional, performance, stability and benchmarks) across mobile, compute, automobile, server, and modem chipsets at various operating conditions.

 

Work will also include working with team project leads to develop effective production screens for silicon issues using ATE techniques on SLT, as well as enhancing debug capabilities on SLT similar to those found on ATE.  The individual selected for the position, needs to be proactive, able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, enthusiastic to work at times as an individual contributor and be passionate about delivering quality work.

 

This role is ideal for an experienced ATE Test Engineer who has developed structural, memory, and functional test programs on Advantest or Teradyne platforms and wants to broaden their technical impact into system-level validation, software-driven testing, data analytics, and next-generation manufacturing quality solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of semiconductor ATE Test Engineering experience.
  Interest in expanding from traditional ATE development into System Level Test

• Hands-on experience with Advantest V93k and/or Teradyne platforms.
• Experience developing and supporting ATE test programs in one or more of the following areas: Structural Test, Memory Test, Functional Test
• Strong understanding of Design-for-Test (DFT) methodologies including: SAF, TDF, SSN, Memory BIST, Fusing
• Understanding of VLSI technologies – Digital Design, CPU architecture and Semiconductor process 

 

• Experience with silicon characterization, yield analysis, and production test deployment.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, C#
• Experience working in Linux and Windows development environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize large sets of test data

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with silicon bring-up, post-silicon validation, or system-level testing.
• Understanding of computer architecture and operating systems such as Android, Linux, Windows, or RTOS.
• Experience with embedded systems and SoC validation.
• Familiarity with processors, memory subsystems, graphics, power, thermal, and performance validation.
• Experience with software automation frameworks and source control systems such as Git or Perforce.
• Experience with data analytics tools such as JMP, Exensio, O+, Power BI, or Python data science libraries.
• Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and software development best practices.
• Experience with debugging or triage using Android debugging tools, JTAG, Lauterbach, or Trace32.
• Experience using lab instrumentation including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and thermal measurement equipment.

 

 Education Requirements

•  Required: Bachelor's, Electrical Engineering.
• Preferred: Master's, Electrical or Computer Science / Engineering.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
